California Highway Patrol officers have confirmed that a pedestrian was killed on westbound State Route 94 near 25th at around 1:30 am Saturday morning. The pedestrian was walking against the flow of traffic and is believed to have been struck by an oncoming vehicle as the individual walked into traffic. The driver then fled the scene. The officials investigating the scene believe that drugs and alcohol may be contributing factors.
