Deanna Ivers
Deanna Ivers is an Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Michael Cindrich. Ms. Ivers has devoted her career to defending individuals facing criminal charges throughout California. Before joining the firm, she served as a deputy public defender, where she represented thousands of clients and maintained a 100 percent trial win rate during her first year as a misdemeanor attorney. She later expanded her practice into felony litigation, trying serious and strike related cases and developing a reputation for thorough preparation, strategic advocacy, and exceptional client communication.
Prior to entering public defense, Ms. Ivers served as the staff attorney for the Kings County Superior Court judges. In that role, she conducted legal research, drafted bench memoranda, and advised the judiciary on complex criminal law issues. Throughout her career, Ms. Ivers has secured favorable outcomes in cases involving DUI, domestic violence, drug offenses, theft crimes, firearm charges, and strike eligible felonies. She is also highly experienced in California diversion programs, including misdemeanor diversion, military diversion, mental health diversion, and veterans court. In addition to her courtroom experience, she has completed extensive advanced training through statewide and national criminal defense seminars, including programs in homicide defense, felony litigation, trial advocacy, DUI defense, and capital case fundamentals. Her strengths include persuasive legal writing, detailed case investigation, and strategic negotiation.
While attending Lincoln Law School, Ms. Ivers worked as the assistant law librarian and was an active member of the Women’s Justice Society.
A Sacramento native, she now practices in San Diego and enjoys yoga, Pilates, reading, and exploring the county’s beaches with her family.
